e-Class Project

S. Chand and Company Limited together with its sister concern
S. Chand Technologies Private Limited has bagged the prestigious
'e-class' project for 1100 Govt. Schools of Uttaranchal State funded by WORLD BANK. In the e-class project the company has developed Multimedia Based Educational software programmes for mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology.

The content covered 'end-to-end' coverage for CBSE, CICSE, and Uttaranchal boards. For this project the company created around 3000 SCORM certified learning objects on 492 topics.

International Collaboration

HMH (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt): S. Chand and Houghton-Mifflin Harcourt have launched a joint venture company – S. Chand Harcourt (India) Pvt. Ltd.

HMH is the 2nd largest education publisher in the world and #1 in the US. K-12 education content Market, with approximately $2.5 billion in combined revenue. We are closely working with them to produce international quality multimedia content. SCTPL has already supplied interactive multimedia content to them and is in the process of developing more advanced interactive educational content.

Taleem Project

S. Chand and Company Limited together with its sister concern S. Chand Technologies Private Limited has bagged the prestigious 'Taleem' project of Uttaranchal Muslim Education Mission (UMEM) of Uttaranchal state . In the Taleem project the company developed Multimedia Based Educational software programmes for Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology for Classes IX to XII in Urdu language. The content provided 'end-to-end' coverage for CBSE, CICSE, and Uttaranchal boards. For this project, the company is developing around 1000 learning objects which are SCORM compliant.

The aim and objective of the project "Taleem" was to modernize the education facility of the Madrasas and to generate interest among students that would also help them to get quality education. Each initiative in educational technology must be driven by a thorough understanding of the aims and objectives that each stakeholder wishes to achieve. In regards to the project, the major stakeholder was Uttaranchal Muslim Education Mission. As a vendor for project "Taleem", S. Chand has shown obligations to each stakeholder and these obligations must be fulfilled at each stage during the course of development and implementation of the project.

Orissa Project

S. Chand Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (SCTPL) has successfully implemented DIGILAB concept in 100 Pilot Government Schools of Orissa.

Chhattisgarh Project

Recently SCTPL has been awarded a contract from Chhattisgarh Govt. for development & supply of Multimedia Based Courseware in 250 schools from class 9th – 12th in subjects Maths, Chemistry, Physics and Biology. The content shall cover 'end-to-end' coverage for NCERT and Education Board of Chhattisgarh. For this project the company has developed around 200 learning objects for 250 Schools. This project has been successfully implemented and over 500 principals, teachers and MIS staff was imparted training.

Andhra Pradesh Project

SCTPL is developing Multimedia Based Courseware for Madrasas of the State in Urdu language.

Madhya Pradesh Project

SCTPL has done Pilot Project for 50 Govt. Excellence Schools in the State.

Rajasthan Project

S. Chand & Company bags the prestigious Rajasthan e-Content Development Project for CALP Schools. The Company will also provide training to 8000 teachers of the state.

Within the framework of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, S. Chand Technology Private Limited (SCTPL), partnering with Government of Rajasthan, has introduced Computer Based Education in 4142 CALP (Computer Aided Learning Programme) schools of Rajasthan and provide training to 8000 teachers at district level in Rajasthan.

SCTPL has a track record of implementing large scale Public-Private-Partnership projects. These educational programs involve comprehensive education infrastructure implementation, teacher training and content development projects. We at SCTPL, aim to equip each student/teacher with technology-based educational skills to make teaching and learning more interactive and interesting.

The teacher training program provided by the SCTPL was primarily focused at providing exposure and familiarization to multimedia based technology tools and subject contents that can be productively used to improve and enhance teaching/learning in the classroom.

Three days training program at district level at DIET (District Institute of Educational Training) Rajasthan for 8000 government upper primary school teachers has been successfully completed.

Punjab Project

S. Chand Technologies Pvt. Ltd bagged the prestigious Punjab Project from the Punjab Edusat Society, in November 2010. The project is a part of the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyaan Project under the Govt. of India.

For this project, the company has developed around 367 learning modules from classes VI-VIII. The aim and objective of the project was to modernize the education process of the government schools of Punjab. These learning modules were aimed to generate interest among students that would help them to get quality education irrespective of their economic and social background. All the contents have been produced in the vernacular medium (Punjabi) for the better understanding of the students.

S. Chand Technologies Pvt. Ltd, with the rigorous, 24/7 support of the Multimedia, Content and Translators’ teams, has successfully completed the first phase of the project.
